I put her (along with the eggsack and her next meal) in a bug jar and refrigerated them overnight. This slowed the spider down long enough for me to take pictures without having to worry....too much. October 14, 2002 Today out in the field looking for garden stepping stones, most every rock I turned over had one of these resting underneath. More spiders: I was pulling weeds in the daylily bed....pulled this baby cornsnake up instead: Found this little guy in some moist wood/bark pieces under a pallet of firewood: Almost stepped on this Black Snake, I was walking towards an OakLeaf Hydrangea looking through the view finder of the camera...oops:
ANOTHER black snake almost got stepped on this morning....he was traveling through the grass:
September 25, 2002.....this morning I shoved a garden fork under a clump of the daylily CONDILLA.....pulled it up.....along with this little one, seen here snoozing on PAPER BUTTERFLY: Morning spiderweb:
