Here is a black widow spider I found under a rock in the garden.  I put her (along with the eggsack and her next meal) in a bug jar and refrigerated them overnight.  This slowed the spider down long enough for me to take pictures without having to worry....too much.  October 14, 2002  Today out in the field looking for garden stepping stones, most every rock I turned over had one of these resting underneath.
